A few weeks ago the Belgian company Zentech started the production of serological tests and the Swiss company Roche also announced that they will start to produce these tests in may.
These tests can support the detection of antibodies against Covid-19 in patients who have been exposed to the virus. The detection of these antibodies could help indicate if a person has gained immunity.
In an open letter (17/04/20) Brigitte Maguin (head of plastic chirurgy at CHU Saint-Pierre, Brussels) asks the Prime Minister of Belgium Sophie Wilmez, why those tests are not yet deployed in Belgium.
Calmcorona is not aware if the letter has been answered in between.
